Church Overview:
Shore Church is a growing 300+ congregation that seeks to be Christ-centered, outreach focused, and equipped to live out our mission of Loving God and Loving Others. The church meets regularly for worship, study, prayer, fellowship, discernment of God’s will and encouragement. Shore Church is from the Anabaptist tradition and is a member of the EVANA Network, which is comprised of Evangelical Anabaptist Churches.

Job Overview:
Shore Church is seeking a servant leader that has a passion for the local church and community. The Children’s Ministry Director will be a part of the Staff Team and will lead the Children’s ministry at Shore Church.

  1. A person who has a relationship with Jesus and who is gifted in interpersonal skills.
  2. A person who seeks to model a Christ-like lifestyle.
  3. A person who is committed to and able to thrive in a team setting.
  4. A person who is authentic, transparent, and of high personal integrity.
  5. A person who is confidential, self-motivated, and relational.
  6. A person that has skills in interpersonal communication (one on one, small group, and large group) with both youth and adults.
  7. A person who has experience leading children in a church setting.
  8. A bachelor’s degree or higher with some pastoral experience is preferred, but not required.
  9. Candidate must be willing to sign the EVANA Covenant of Faith, and become a member of Shore Church.

Spiritual Life:

  1. Pursues and desires personal spiritual growth through various spiritual habits.

Accountability:

  1. The Children’s Ministry Director is accountable to the Lead Pastor and Elders.

Expectations and Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the Staff Team in implementing the mission of Shore Church.
  2. Discern and develop vision and direction for the Children’s Ministry
  3. Work with a team of adults to develop and disciple children in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  4. Oversee and manage children’s programing, such as, but not limited to, Kids Church and Sunday School.
  5. Partner with parents and families in the discipleship process of their children.
  6. Seek to make connections with Rainbow Years Learning Ministry (Day Care Ministry) staff, students, and families.
  7. Seek to be active and present in the community surrounding Shore Church.

Salary:
Salary and benefits will be based on education and experience.
